Tarnaz Music

Professional singer Tarnaz Amarello learned to sing before he could even speak. Obvious, as he was born into an extraordinary musical family in Rotterdam. With a guitar player as stepfather and a jazz singer as mother it made perfect sense for Tarnaz to aim for a professional career in music.

Surinamese roots

At the age of 10 years, his mom passed away. Due to these circumstances Tarnaz was forced to move to the country of his parental origin, Surinam. But as each cloud has a silver lining, at the age of 12 Tarnaz got in touch with singing through the local church choir and found his calling: singing!

Growth and development

In the following years he successfully developed from being a true gospel singer to a versatile and talented allround singer with a preference for close harmony. He further developed his talent by forming several boybands such as ‘Smooth’, ‘5PH’ and ‘4 Steng’. He created a very own sound inspired by the likes of Take 6, Boyz II Men, John Gibson, Nat King Cole and orchestral music by Bach, Black folkore and Jazz music.

Breakthrough

As of 1992 Tarnaz entered two talent shows making sure he finished at the top. In 2000 he moved back to Holland and joined the boyband ‘Twisted’. But it wasn’t until 2003 when his breakthrough finally happened with boyband ‘Deja’. With ‘Deja’ Tarnaz secured performances at home and abroad performing in shared events with Blackstreet and Solange among others!

Family life

The following years Tarnaz decided to focus more on his family. But he was never able to fully turn his back to music. He provided vocal workshops on a regular basis and performed with several bands as guest vocalist.

Back with a vengeance!

Although he never really left the music scene, Tarnaz has been developing his skills from within the shadows. His voice oozes authenticity. He’s technically skilled, confident, knows what he wants & loves to let his sound to be heard.

Soon the world will be treated to new material. Stay tuned!
